This year (2022) marks 100 years since Ada Salter became mayor of Bermondsey and since Alfred Salter was elected MP. Bermondsey has great plans to celebrate the Salter Centenary and this wonderful couple who devoted their lives to the environment, housing and public health. They transformed a deprived inner-city area into a healthy green oasis.
We are delighted to be supporting this by extending our regular Ada Salter: Beautifying Bermondsey walks.
