I love guiding in the city where I was born, grew up and have lived for over 50 years. After an eclectic career spent mainly in adult education and charities, I now indulge my twin passions of walking and discovering more about London. I especially likes to explore lesser-known parts of London and to share with others the hidden histories she discovers.
My walks usually have a social history or literary focus and I have a particular interest in the story of London’s women. I also guide at the Foundling Museum and Canonbury Tower. I am also very pleased to design customised walks. When not walking I struggle to manage my east London allotment.

London history has been a life-long fascination and I have been developing walks for the last three years.
My special interest is uncovering more of women’s hidden stories, especially the parliamentary and municipal pioneers of the early twentieth century.
I’m also an expert on London’s town halls, and enjoy telling the history of the new London boroughs. Other interests include political and revolutionary movements in London.
I am a qualified Clerkenwell and Islington Guide, and will be completing my training as a Camden Guide in the summer of 2018.
