Oonagh Gay and Sue McCarthy are qualified guides and life-long Londoners who met while training together at the University of Westminster. We are passionate about London and want to share our enthusiasm and knowledge with you. Our walks are designed to entertain, educate and inform whether you are visiting the City as a tourist or you want to know more about the history or architecture of the area you live or work in.
We offer general interest walks around areas such as Bloomsbury, Clerkenwell, Fitzrovia, Highbury, Islington, Camden, the City, the East End, Haringey, Lambeth and Southwark, as well as walks centred around particular themes. We both have a particular interest in women’s and social history and literature.
Walks usually last between one and a half an two hours and start and finish close to public transport. As well as our regular programme of walks we are pleased to develop walks to suit you. Commissioned walks make great gifts for friends and family and are a good team-building activity. They are also a great way for students or relocating employees to get to know the area around them.
